TORONTO, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Randy Ruiz hit a three-run double and Travis Snider slugged a solo homer Sunday, powering Toronto to an 8-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
Marco Scutaro and Lyle Overbay each drove in a run for the Blue Jays, who won just their second game, both over LA, in their last eight contests.
Ricky Romero (11-5) picked up the win, allowing two runs and eight hits in six innings.
Juan Rivera and Kendry Morales each drove in a run and Vladimir Guerrero had three hits and scored a run for the Angels.
LA starter Trevor Bell (1-1) was battered for six runs and six hits in just 1 2/3 innings.
