
DENVER, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Seth Smith's two-run homer Sunday led Colorado to a 4-2 win over San Francisco.
Edgar Renteria's two-run homer in the top of the second was the game's only scoring until Ian Stewart's RBI single pulled Colorado within 2-1 with two outs in the sixth before Smith's go-ahead homer.
Troy Tulowitzki also had one of the four hits for the Rockies, who built a three-game lead over the Giants in the National League Wild Card race.
Winner Ubaldo Jimenez (12-9) gave up two runs and six hits in eight innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.
Closer Huston Street earned his 33rd save and 25th in a row with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Five others had one hit for the Giants, who have lost three of four.
Losing pitcher Tim Lincecum (12-4) gave up three runs and three hits in seven innings with five walks and seven strikeouts.
