NFL: Chicago 17, N.Y. Giants 3

CHICAGO, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Jay Cutler made an impressive Chicago debut Saturday, guiding the Bears to a touchdown en route to a 17-3 pre-season victory over the New York Giants.

Cutler was 8-for-13 for 121 yards and the score over three series for Chicago. Caleb Hanie was 10-of-18 for 120 yards in relief of Cutler. Matt Forte rushed for 58 yards and a TD.

Eli Manning was 7-of-10 for 62 yards and Andre' Woodson 7-for-16 for 95 yards for the Giants. Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 54 yards on six carries.

The Giants were without starting linebackers Antonio Pierce and Michael Boley, cornerback Aaron Ross, safety Kenny Phillips, and defensive tackles Rocky Bernard and Chris Canty. Defensive tackle Jay Alford left with a sprained knee.
