MLB: Minnesota 8, Kansas City 7

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Jason Kubel had three RBI Saturday, pacing the Minnesota Twins' 8-7 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Michael Cuddyer added a home run and two RBI, and Orlando Cabrera had two hits and scored two run for the Twins, who have won four of their last five games.

Brian Duensing (1-1) got the first win of his major-league career after allowing two runs on six hits in five innings.

David DeJesus, Miguel Olivo and Yuniesky Betancourt each drove in two runs for the Royals, who have lost three straight and six of their last eight..

Kyle Davies (4-9) took the loss after giving up six runs, four hits, and three walks in 5 2/3 innings.

Cuddyer now has 20 homers this season. Kubel, Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer also have reached that benchmark. The last time the Twins had four players hit 20 or more homers was 1987.
