MLB: Atlanta 4, Florida 3

ATLANTA, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Yunel Escobar capped a four-run first inning Saturday with a two-run homer and Atlanta held on for a 4-3 victory against Florida.

Before Escobar's 12th homer, Omar Infante hit a lead-off shot and Adam LaRoche hit an RBI single.

Escobar, LaRoche and Matt Diaz all had two hits for the Braves, who have won four of six.

Winner Tommy Hanson (9-2) yielded three runs on four hits and three walks in seven innings with seven strikeouts. He took a no-hitter into the fifth.

Closer Rafael Soriano earned his 19th save.

Florida scored its runs in the sixth on an RBI double by Wes Helms and Jorge Cantu's two-run single.

Jeremy Hermida had two of the four hits for the Marlins, who have lost three of four.

Losing pitcher Chris Volstad (9-10) gave up four runs and six hits in four innings.
