SUNRIVER, Ore., Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Brad Bryant settled for an even-par round of 72 Friday, which was still good enough to give him a one-stroke lead midway through the Jeld-Wen Tradition.
Bryant fired the lowest round of his Champions Tour career Thursday, a 10-under 62, and that effort contributed to his 36-hole total of 134. That put Bryant a shot in front of Fred Funk, the runaway winner of this year's U.S. Senior Open.
Newly crowned British Senior Open champion Loren Roberts shared third place at 136 with John Cook and former Masters winner Larry Mize.
Bryant made only two birdies Friday and bogeyed both the par-5 holes on the back nine of the Crosswater Club course.
Eduardo Romero was tied for sixth with Lonnie Nielsen and Mike Reid at 137 and Tom Lehman was among those at 138.
The tournament is the final major event of the season on the Champions Tour.
