FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 20 (UPI) -- J.T. O'Sullivan's 24-yard pass to Chris Henry provided the game's only touchdown Thursday, giving the Cincinnati Bengals a 7-6 pre-season win over New England.

The touchdown toss came with 1:55 left in the second period and the teams then played a scoreless second half. The Bengals failed on a fourth-down try from the Patriots' 6-yard line in the third period and New England fumbled the ball away on the Cincinnati 12 after driving it 82 yards in the fourth.

O'Sullivan started for the Bengals after quarterback Carson Palmer suffered a high ankle sprain in the team's first exhibition game. O'Sullivan played most of the first half and completed 10-of-13 for 141 yards.

New England's Tom Brady played two series, going 4-of-8 for 57 yards.

The Patriots got field goals of 32 and 41 yards from Stephen Gostkowski.

Both teams are 1-1 in their exhibition contests.
