EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Tommie Hill recovered a fumble and returned it 18 yards for a touchdown as time ran out Monday, giving the New York Giants a 24-17 pre-season win over Carolina.

Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 35 yards and scored a touchdown on a 19-yard run. Eli Manning was 2-for-3 passing for 31 yards and Giants' backup quarterback David Carr was 6-for-10 for 74 yards and a 36-yard touchdown to Danny Ware.

Mike Goodson carried for 43 yards and a TD and DeAngelo Williams picked up 29 yards on six carries for the Panthers. Quarterback Jake Delhomme was 5-for-9 passing for 38 yards.
