
WASHINGTON, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Brad Hawpe homered and drove in two runs Tuesday to lead the Colorado Rockies to a 4-3 victory over the Washington Nationals.
Carlos Gonzalez and Clint Barmes also homered for the Rockies, who have won four of their last six games.
Winning pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez (11-9) allowed two runs on seven hits in eight innings to win for the fourth consecutive start. Huston Street gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth but got the final three outs for his 30th save.
Nyjer Morgan and Cristian Guzman each drove in a run for the Nationals.
Sean Burnett (2-3) suffered the loss after giving up the deciding run while recording just one out. Starter Craig Stammen yielded two runs and four hits over 5 1/3 innings and had an RBI double for Washington.
