
TORONTO, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- David Ortiz had a homer, three RBI and three runs scored Tuesday to help the Boston Red Sox outslug the Toronto Blue Jays 10-9.
Jacoby Ellsbury added two hits and three RBI for the Red Sox. Jason Bay homered and Victor Martinez and Alex Gonzalez each added an RBI.
Boston's Hideki Okajima (4-0) earned the win by pitching a scoreless seventh inning. Jonathan Papelbon had a four-out save, his 29th of the season, allowing two hits and walking three.
Boston starter Josh Beckett gave up seven runs and nine hits -- including three homers -- over 5 1/3 innings.
Rod Barajas had a two-run homer for the Blue Jays, who have lost five of their last six games.
Adam Lind and Marco Scutaro each had two RBI and Travis Snider and Randy Ruiz had solo homers for Toronto.
Casey Janssen (2-4) was charged with the defeat for one hit and three runs in one-plus relief innings.
