MLB: Pittsburgh 9, Milwaukee 5

PITTSBURGH, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Garrett Jones hit one of Pittsburgh's three home runs in a 16-hit attack Monday when the Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-5.

Jones hit a two-run homer in a five-run third inning outbreak.

Kevin Hart (4-2) got the victory after allowing four runs on nine hits over six innings.

Delwyn Young was 3-for-5 with a run scored and RBI. Lastings Milledge scored twice with two hits and an RBI. Andy LaRoche and Ronny Cedeno homered for the Pirates.

Carlos Villanueva (2-10) took the loss after allowing six runs on 11 hits in four innings.

Prince Fielder hit his 31st home run of the season and Mike Cameron added a two-run shot for the Brewers.
