MLB: Colorado 7, Florida 3 (2nd game)

MIAMI, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Colorado had two-run homers from Clint Barmes and Brad Hawpe to beat Florida 7-3 in the nightcap and split their Sunday doubleheader.

The Marlins won the opener 10-3 on Chris Coghlan's three-run homer.

Jorge De La Rosa (11-8) went 5 2/3 innings in the second game to get the win, allowing one unearned run on seven hits and striking out nine.

Rick VandenHurk (2-2) took the loss. He also struck out nine but gave up six runs on five hits and walked three in 5 2/3 innings.

Emilio Bonifacio had three hits and an RBI for the Marlins. Jorge Cantu and Cody Ross drove in the other Florida run.

In the first game, Haley Ramirez homered along with Coghlan to pace Florida.
