MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 16 (UPI) -- Kelly Shoppach, Luis Valbuena and Grady Sizemore homered in a six-run sixth inning Sunday and Cleveland went on to down the plunging Minnesota Twins 7-4.
Shoppach and Valbuena started the rally with solo shots and Sizemore added a two-run blast.
Minnesota has lost eight of 11 games and five straight series.
Jhonny Peralta had three hits and drove in a run for the Indians
Aaron Laffey (7-3) was the winner, yielding three runs and five hits in 5 1/3 innings.
Delmon smacked a two-run homer for the Twins.
Loser Nick Blackburn (8-8) gave up six runs and six hits in just 2 1/3 innings.
