NFL: Buffalo 27, Chicago 20

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y., Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick put on an early passing show, and Buffalo had two late touchdowns Saturday in a 27-20 win over Chicago.

Edwards played into the second quarter and was 10-for-10 passing for 79 yards. Fitzpatrick followed with a 13-of-16 performance for 143 yards.

Gibran Hamdan threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Shawn Nelson, and Bruce Hall had a 4-yard TD run in the fourth quarter for Buffalo.

Jay Cutler made his debut for Chicago by hitting 5-of-10 passes for 64 yards. Cutler was obtained from Denver in the offseason.

In the second half, Caleb Hanie threw a touchdown pass to Will Ta'ufo'ou, and Brett Basanez hit Juaquin Iglesias with another TD pass.
