CINCINNATI, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A three-run double by Alberto Gonzalez finished off a six-run third inning Saturday, and Washington fought off a late comeback to defeat Cincinnati.

The Nationals built a 10-1 lead through four innings en route to their 10th victory in 13 games.

Washington sent 10 men to the plate in the third and scored all the runs in the inning off starter Johnny Cueto (8-10).

Ronnie Belliard drove in a run with a double, and Ryan Zimmerman and Josh Willingham hit RBI singles before Gonzalez's double.

Elijah Dukes added a three-run triple in the fourth.

Washington's 14-hit attack made a winner out of J.D. Martin (2-2). The only run he allowed was unearned, and he gave up six hits over six innings.

Cincinnati scored four times in the seventh, twice on a homer by Drew Sutton.
