MLB: Detroit 10, Kansas City 3

DETROIT, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera went 4-for-5 with a two-run home run, three RBI and three runs scored Saturday to lead Detroit to a 10-3 win over Kansas City.

Carlos Guillen went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and four RBI for the Tigers. Alex Avila and Ramon Santiago each homered for Detroit, which had 16 hits.

Edwin Jackson (9-5) earned the win after allowing three runs and nine hits in six innings.

Billy Butler hit a two-run homer, and Brayan Pena added a solo homer for the Royals, who have lost four of their last six games. Luke Hochevar (6-6) suffered the loss after giving up six runs and 12 hits over four-plus innings.
