CINCINNATI, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Garrett Mock worked six innings Friday, and four relievers paraded to the mound to complete a shutout, bringing Washington a 2-0 win over Cincinnati.

The Nationals snapped a three-game losing streak and won for the ninth time in 12 games.

Mock (2-4) won his second straight start, striking out six, walking four and allowing six hits. The bullpen gave up two hits the rest of the way, and Mike MacDougal earned his 12th save.

Washington scored on home runs by Ronnie Belliard in the fifth and Wil Nieves in the seventh. It was the first home run for Nieves in 150 at bats this season and only his second in a seven-year career.

The loss went to Aaron Harang (6-14), who gave up both home runs over seven innings.
