MLB: Chicago Cubs 17, Pittsburgh 2

CHICAGO, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Derrek Lee had seven RBI and Kosuke Fukudome slammed a three-run homer Friday in an 18-hit Chicago Cubs onslaught that buried the Pittsburgh Pirates 17-2.

Lee had three hits, including two doubles, and walked to force in a run.

Jake Fox and Jeff Baker each added two RBI for the Cubs, who scored 10 runs in the second inning.

Brandon Moss and Jason Jaramillo each drove in a run in the Pirates' 11th loss in 12 games.

Randy Wells (9-5) picked up the win, allowing two runs and seven hits in six innings. Wells also singled, doubled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Charlie Morton (2-6) took the loss. Morton was clobbered for 10 runs and seven hits in one inning.
