ATLANTA, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Atlanta police say a 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the killing of professional boxer Vernon Forrest.
Atlanta police spokesman Officer Eric Schwartz said U.S. marshals arrested Charman Sinkfield, making him the third person to be charged in the July 26 shooting death of Forrest, 38, in Atlanta, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday.
The other two suspects arrested were Jquante Crews, 25, and Damario Ware, 20. Both face murder, assault, robbery and weapons charges.
Sinkfield, meanwhile, is facing charges of murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery with a deadly weapon.
Authorities do not suspect Crews and Ware fatally shot Forrest, saying the pair allegedly intended to rob the boxer.
Siblings of Forrest said the arrest of the third and final suspect in their brother's killing is a relief, given their desire for justice.
