MLB: Milwaukee 12, San Diego 9

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Home runs by Mike Rivera, Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun accounted for nine runs Thursday and carried the Milwaukee Brewers to a 12-9 victory over San Diego.

Rivera hit a two-run and a three-run homer, Fielder hit a pair of solo shots and Braun had a two-run homer in the Brewers' first win in four games.

Manny Parra (8-8) gave up 13 hits and six runs in 5 2/3 innings but picked up his fourth straight win.

Adrian Gonzalez belted a two-run home run, Oscar Salazar hit a solo shot and Kevin Kouzmanoff was 5-for-5 with two RBI for the Padres.

The Brewers pounded Cesar Carrillo (0-1), making his major-league debut, for eight runs and four hits in 2 1/3 innings.
