CHICAGO, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- A home run by Ben Francisco in the top of the 12th Tuesday lifted the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs.
Francisco led off the 12th against Kevin Gregg (4-4) and lined a sinker just over the left field ivy at Wrigley field.
Jimmy Rollins had a two-run homer for the Phillies, who bounced back after being swept by Florida.
J.A. Happ started for the Phillies and allowed two runs on seven hits through six innings. Scott Eyre (2-1) picked up the win with 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
Jeff Baker had four hits for the Cubs and starting pitcher Rich Harden gave up just two hits and struck out six in seven innings.
Chicago scored two runs in the third inning on an RBI single by Jake Fox and an RBI sacrifice fly Alfonso Soriano.
After Rollins tied the game in the sixth, the Phillies took a 3-2 lead in the eighth on a bases-loaded walk.
The Cubs forced the game into extra innings with a run in the bottom of the ninth when Milton Bradley singled Kosuke Fukudome in from second.
