MLB: LA Dodgers 9, San Francisco 1

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Manny Ramirez and Matt Kemp homered Tuesday to back up a solid eight-inning start by Randy Wolf in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 9-1 win over San Francisco.

Ramirez had a two-run homer and an RBI double while Kemp notched a three-run blast for the Dodgers, who have won the first two games in the series between the NL West rivals.

Wolf (6-6) held the Giants to one run on three hits and struck out three in eight innings.

Joe Martinez (2-1) took the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Los Angeles scored four runs in the fifth when Andre Ethier hit a two-run double and then scored on a double by Ramirez, who then came in on a single by James Loney.

Kemp, who has six RBI in the series, homered in the Dodgers' five-run seventh inning.

Eugenio Velez had his 16-game hitting streak snapped, but he also accounted for San Francisco's only run with a ground out in the third.
