Clark of Colorado Rapids out for season

COMMERCE CITY, Colo., Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Colorado Rapids midfielder Colin Clark will miss the rest of the 2009 Major League Soccer season because of a knee injury, the team announced Wednesday.

The 25-year-old Clark tore a ligament in his left knee during training Tuesday. He is scheduled to undergo surgery early next week.

Clark has been on the Colorado team since 2006. He scored three goals in 16 games this season.
