MLB: LA Dodgers 4, San Francisco 2

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Matt Kemp's fourth-inning three-run double and a strong performance by Hiroki Kuroda helped the Los Angeles Dodgers beat San Francisco 4-2.

Kuroda (5-5) went 6 1/3 innings, giving up one run on six hits with one walk and two strikeouts to get the win.

Mark Loretta had two hits and an RBI for the Dodgers, who won for the first time in four games.

Travis Ishikawa and Bengie Molina accounted for the Giants' scoring with solo home runs.

Jonathan Sanchez (5-10) allowed four runs on five hits with three walks and six strikeouts to take the loss for San Francisco, which has lost two straight and trails LA by 6 1/2 games in the NL West.

Colorado, which beat the Chicago Cubs 11-5 Monday, is in second place, 5 1/2 games out.
