Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

TAMPA BAY, Fla., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Tampa Bay wide receiver Antonio Bryant had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for next three weeks, the team said.
Bryant had the surgery to clean out a torn meniscus in the knee.
Bucs Coach Raheem Morris said it's possible Bryant could be back for the team's final pre-season game. The Buccaneers open the regular season Sept. 13 against Dallas.
Last season, Bryant led Tampa Bay with 83 receptions for 1,248 yards and seven touchdowns.
Bryant, who is entering his seventh season in the NFL, has played in 93 games, with 71 starts. He has 333 career receptions for 5,085 yards and 26 touchdowns with Tampa Bay, Cleveland, San Francisco, and Dallas.
