PITTSFORD, N.Y., Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Buffalo Bills Coach Dick Jauron said wide receiver Terrell Owens was excused from the team's morning practice Tuesday.

Jauron said he would address the matter after the team's evening workout.

"He's been excused," Jauron said.

Owens, who caught two passes for 27 yards in a preseason game against Tennessee Sunday, has been reported to have a minor toe injury.

Owens is in his first year with the Bills after being cut loose by Dallas.
