
SEATTLE, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Carlos Pena and Evan Longoria homered Saturday, helping Tampa Bay beat Seattle 10-4.
Pena hit a two-run homer in the fifth.
Longoria hit a solo shot and an RBI groundout in the same inning .
Jason Bartlett hit a two-run eighth-inning single, while Carl Crawford and Ben Zobrist had one RBI each for the Rays, who have won six of eight.
Winner James Shields (7-8) gave up four runs and eight hits in 5 1/3 innings with three walks and six strikeouts.
Franklin Gutierrez led Seattle with three hits -- one a two-run homer.
Michael Saunders had three hits and one RBI and a run scored on a second-inning throwing error by Shields.
The losing pitcher, reliever Chris Jakubauskas (5-7), came in after starter Ian Snell walked six batters in 1 1/3 innings.
The Mariners have lost two of three.
