HOUSTON, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Wandy Rodriguez held Milwaukee to five hits in seven scoreless innings Sunday, leading Houston to a 2-0 win over the Brewers.

He bagged his sixth straight winning decision by avoiding the big inning against Milwaukee's explosive bats.

Geoff Blum's fourth-inning homer produced the only game's only runs.

Blum had two of the six hits for the Astros, who won twice in the three-game series, but have won only four of their last 11 games.

Closer Jose Valverde earned his 15th save despite putting two batters on base in the top of the ninth.

Seven batters had one hit for the Brewers, who have lost three of five.

Losing pitcher Yovani Gallardo (10-9) gave up two runs and six hits in seven innings.
