MLB: Colorado 11, Chicago Cubs 5

DENVER, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Yorvit Torrealba had two hits and three RBI Sunday to lead the Colorado Rockies to an 11-5 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Torrealba's RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning gave Colorado a 6-3 lead and his two-run single made it 11-3 in the seventh.

Todd Helton had three hits and two RBI, Carlos Gonzalez had three hits and one RBI, one run scored on a error, another came in on a wild pitch, and Seth Smith and Troy Tulowizki had one RBI each for the Rockies, who won twice in the three-game series.

The winner was starter Jason Hammel (7-6), who went five innings, allowing three runs on 11 hits with no walks and four strikeouts.

Milton Bradley led Chicago with four hits and one RBI. Koyie Hill had three hits and one RBI, and both Kosuke Fukudome and Derek Lee had two hits and one RBI for the Cubs, who have lost three of four.

The losing pitcher was starter Randy Wells (8-5). He gave up seven runs on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings, with two walks and three strikeouts.
