
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Kelly Johnson hit a two-run 10th-inning homer, carrying Atlanta to a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The contest was scoreless after nine innings.
Johnson's eighth homer came with two outs in the top of the 10th and was just the third hit for the winners against five Los Angeles pitchers.
Ryan Church and Garret Anderson had the other hits for the Braves, who have won four of five.
The winner was Kris Medlen (3-3).
Starter Kenshin Kawakami surrendered four hits in seven innings.
Closer Rafael Soriano earned his 17th save despite giving up a run in the bottom of the 10th.
Los Angeles scored on Andre Ethier's 10th-inning double.
Matt Kemp had two of the six hits for the Dodgers, who have lost three of four.
The losing pitcher was Guillermo Mota (3-3).
LA starter Clayton Kershaw yielded two hits in seven innings with a walk and 10 strikeouts.
