
WASHINGTON, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Josh Bard and Josh Willingham homered Saturday, helping Washington beat Arizona 5-2 for the Nationals' seventh win in a row.
Willingham's two-run blast, his 18th homer of the season, erased a 2-1 deficit with no outs in the bottom of the fourth.
Bard hit a solo shot in the sixth, his second home run.
Adam Dunn and Alberto Gonzalez added one RBI apiece, while Ryan Zimmerman had two hits, extending his hitting streak to 12 games.
Winner Garrett Mock (1-4) yielded two runs and five hits in six innings with three walks and seven strikeouts.
Jorge Sosa earned his first save.
Arizona's runs scored on a two-run fourth-inning shot by Mark Reynolds, his 35th home run.
Gerardo Parra had two of the five hits for the Diamondbacks, who hope to avert a three-game sweep Sunday.
