
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 8 (UPI) -- Ryan Church went 3-for-5 with a homer and four RBI as the Atlanta Braves' defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-5 in 12 innings Friday.
Garrett Anderson tied the game with a ninth-inning RBI and scored the go-ahead run in the 12th for the Braves, who have won three of their last four. Kelly Johnson hit a two-run shot, and Yunel Escobar went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Jair Jurrjens gave up five runs, four earned, on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision. Reliever Peter Moylan (4-2) earned the win after pitching a scoreless inning.
Casey Blake went 3-for-6 and hit a three-run homer, and Orlando Hudson had one RBI for the Dodgers, who have split their last eight.
Chad Billingsley gave up two runs, one earned, on four hits in six innings and got a no-decision. Ramon Troncoso (4-1), who gave up two runs on two hits in the 12th, took the loss.
With the scored tied at 2 in the fifth, Rafael Furcal led off with a single, followed by Andre Ethier's walk. Manny Ramirez went down looking before Blake hit a three-run homer to give Los Angeles a 5-2 lead.
Rafael Johnson hit a two-run homer in the seventh to make it 5-4.
In the ninth, Nate McLouth drew a walk and stole second, and Anderson poked a game-tying RBI single to right.
Anderson and Brian McCann each hit singles off Troncoso in the 12th, and Escobar drove in a run with a single. Church added three runs with a homer to right, making it 9-5.
Rafael Soriano finished the game with a 1-2-3 bottom of the 12th.
