LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Braden Looper went a strong 6 2/3 innings and Ryan Braun had a key two-run double Wednesday to lead the Milwaukee past the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1.

Prior to the game, Major League Baseball announced it would investigate an incident at Dodger Stadium Tuesday night in which Brewers' slugger Prince Fielder had to be restrained by stadium security after he tried to get into the Dodgers clubhouse after the game. Fielder was upset Guillermo Mota had hit him with a pitch in the ninth inning of a lopsided LA victory.

Fielder went 0-for-5 Wednesday but he drove in a run for the Brewers who took two out of three to win their first series since beating the Mets twice in a three-game set June 29-July 1.

Felipe Lopez had three hits and scored two runs for Milwaukee.

Looper (10-5) held the Dodgers to one run on four hits, serving up a solo home run to Rafael Furcal in the first inning..

Trevor Hoffman picked up his 25th save.

Jason Schmidt (2-2) lasted just 3 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on five hits.
