
CLEVELAND, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Trevor Crowe's RBI double Thursday lifted the Cleveland Indians to a 2-1win over the Minnesota Twins.
Crowe's lone hit broke a 1-1 tie with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning before Wyatt Toregas flied out and Luis Valbuena was thrown out at home.
Jhonny Peralta hit a sacrifice fly, while Travis Hafner, Shin-Soo Choo and Asdrubal Cabrera all had two hits for the Indians, who won twice in the three-game series.
The winner was reliever Tony Sipp (2-0).
Closer Kerry Wood recorded his 15th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Starter Fausto Carmona surrendered a run and six hits in six innings.
Minnesota's run scored on a fourth-inning wild pitch by Carmona.
Michael Cuddyer and Orlando Cabrera had two hits each for the Twins, who have lost four of five.
Losing pitcher Nick Blackburn (8-6) yielded two runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings.
