
NEW YORK, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Angel Pagan hit a grand slam and finished with five RBI Saturday, leading the New York Mets to a 9-6 win over Arizona.
The slam snapped a 5-5 tie with one out in the eighth.
Pagan had two of New York's 12 hits and added a sacrifice fly. Alex Cora had two hits and one RBI, while Jeff Francoeur and Cory Sullivan had one RBI each for the Mets, who have won six of eight.
The winner was Pedro Feliciano (4-3).
Starter Oliver Perez gave up three runs and six hits in five innings with five walks and seven strikeouts and closer Francisco Rodriguez earned his 24th save.
Arizona's Justin Upton had three hits -- one a solo homer -- and two RBI. Gerardo Parra had two hits and one RBI, and Mark Reynolds added one RBI for the Diamondbacks, who have lost three of five.
The losing pitcher was Clay Zavada (2-3).
