MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 9, Atlanta 1

ATLANTA, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Matt Kemp hit a three-run homer and drove in five runs Sunday to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 9-1 rout of Atlanta.

Kemp finished with three hits, including his 14th homer of the season. James Loney had three hits and two RBI for the Dodgers, who took two out of three games in Atlanta and finished their road trip 3-4.

Andre Ethier had three hits and scored a run, and Russell Martin and Mark Loretta each had two hits and a run scored for LA. Pitcher Jason Schmidt had a pinch-hit single and scored a run for the Dodgers, who have the best record in baseball at 65-40.

LA starter Chad Billingsley (10-7) went five shutout innings, giving up two hits and one walk and striking out nine before leaving the game with a cramp in his right leg.

Braves' starter Jair Jurrjens (9-8) gave up four runs on 10 hits with two walks over five innings to take the loss -- his first after four straight wins.

Martin Prado had two hits and one RBI for Atlanta, which has lost four of its last six games.
