MLB: Los Angeles Angels 13, Minnesota 4

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Kendry Morales slammed two three-run home runs and Sean Rodriguez added a two-run shot Sunday, powering the Los Angeles Angels over the Minnesota Twins 13-4.

The Angels won for the 13th time in 15 games. They outscored the Twins 35-15 in a three-game series sweep.

Winner Jered Weaver (11-3) yielded four runs and four hits and struck out 11 batters, the highest total of his career, in 6 1/3 innings.

Orlando Cabrera and Justin Morneau hit solo homers for Minnesota.

Twins starter Glen Perkins (6-7) was pounded for nine runs and 12 hits before leaving in the fifth inning.
