
MIAMI, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Derek Lee's 10th-inning solo homer Saturday boosted the Chicago Cubs to a 9-8 victory against Florida.
Lee led Chicago with four hits, two runs scored and three RBI. Aramis Ramirez had two hits, three RBI and one run scored.
Ryan Theriot had two hits and two RBI, while a run scored on John Baker's first-inning throwing error for the Cubs, who have won eight of 10.
The winner was Kevin Gregg (4-2). Aaron Heilman recorded his first save.
Starter Carlos Zambrano left with a stiff back after three innings.
Florida's Jeremy Hermida had three hits and two RBI. Emilio Bonifacio had two hits, including a two-run triple that created an 8-8 tie with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Chris Coghlan and Nick Johnson, acquired in a trade with Washington, had two hits and one RBI apiece for the Marlins, who have split their last four games.
The losing pitcher was Leo Nunez (3-4).
