FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Forward Edgaras Jankauskas scored the equalizer in the 76th minute Saturday, helping New England record a 1-1 Major League Soccer tie against Toronto FC.

Jankauskas' first career goal kept the Revolution (6-5-6) three points behind the Reds (7-7-6) for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto's stingy defense and midfielder Dwayne De Rosario's eighth goal this season, in the 34th minute, helped the Reds maintain their three-point lead despite New England's four-match unbeaten streak.

New England began to control the match after gaining the man advantage, and Jankauskas scored with just under 15 minutes remaining.

Revolution Coach Steve Nicol was ejected in the final minutes of regular time and his team failed to score during five minutes of stoppage time.
