
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Maicer Izturis hit one of the Los Angeles Angels' three sixth-inning homers and had four RBI Saturday in an 11-6 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
Izturis hit a three-run homer in the big inning and Juan Rivera and Kendry Morales followed with solo homers for the Angels. Mike Napoli and Gary Matthews Jr. each had three hits and Matthews drove in three runs.
Starter Joe Saunders (9-6) helped the Angels to their fourth straight victory by holding the Twins to four runs on nine hits in six innings.
Losing pitcher Anthony Swarzak (3-4) gave up six runs on nine hits in a three-inning start.
Orlando Cabrera, who was acquired from Oakland Friday, made his Minnesota debut with two hits, an RBI and a run scored. Justin Morneau was 3- for-5 with a homer for the Twins.
The Angels finished with 18 hits and the Twins had 14.
