MINNEAPOLIS, July 31 (UPI) -- Erick Aybar's four-pitch walk started a streak of eight straight Los Angeles base runners in the 11th inning Friday, propelling the Angels past Minnesota 11-5.
The powerful Los Angeles offense pounded out 19 hits and rallied the Angels from a 5-2 deficit in the late innings.
Mike Napoli's solo homer in the eighth tied the score at 5-5 and Los Angeles then produced six singles in the 11th -- five of them coming consecutively.
Bobby Keppel (0-1), who had not allowed a run in 11 1/3 innings since being called up from Class AAA, walked Aybar and then gave up a base hit to Gary Matthews and an RBI infield single to Howie Kendrick.
After Jesse Crain relieved Keppel, Chone Figgins reached on a bunt single that loaded the bases. Maicer Izturis drove in a run with a single and another base hit by Bobby Abreu brought in two runs.
Juan Rivera then drew a walk to again load the bases and a run came in on yet another single by Kendry Morales. Aybar delivered the final run of the inning on a fielder's choice grounder.
The onslaught gave the win to Kevin Jepsen (3-2), who struck out three while working the ninth and 10th innings.
