MLB: Boston 4, Baltimore 0

BALTIMORE, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Kevin Youkilis was 4-for-4 with a solo homer Saturday to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Josh Beckett (13-4) gave up six hits and two walks in seven shutout innings. Beckett has won six of his last eight starts.

Dustin Pedroia had a solo homer for Boston, which won its third straight game. Victor Martinez, in his first game with the Sox since being acquired from Cleveland prior to the trade deadline, had an RBI and scored a run.

Rocco Baldelli pinch-hit for Jason Bay in the sixth and had an RBI double.

David Hernandez (3-3) took the loss after giving up two runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.

Adam Jones had two hits for Baltimore, which has lost four of its last six games.
