NEWTON, Iowa, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Brad Keselowski passed Kyle Busch with eight laps remaining Saturday and won the inaugural Nationwide U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway in Newton.

Keselowski and crew chief Tony Eury Sr. gambled by staying on the track while Busch was among several drivers on the lead lap to drive into pit road for tires during a late-race caution.

Busch took the lead with 26 laps remaining and a 12th caution following an incident involving Justin Allgaier, Erik Darnell and Steve Wallace set up a 10-lap shootout to the finish, which Keselowski won.

"Kyle was a little bit better on short runs, and then he put those two tires on and had a little for me," Keselowski said after his second victory this season and fourth in his Nationwide career.

Keselowski and Busch combined to lead 205 of 250 laps.

Jason Leffler finished third, followed by Carl Edwards and Kelly Bires.
