
MILWAUKEE, July 30 (UPI) -- Craig Counsell hit a two-run homer and had three RBI Thursday, boosting Milwaukee to a 7-3 win over Washington.
His fourth homer gave Milwaukee a 2-0 lead with two outs in the bottom of the third.
One of two hits by Prince Fielder was a solo homer.
Mike Cameron had one RBI.
A run scored on Mike MacDougal's eighth-inning wild pitch, while Felipe Lopez and Corey Hart each added two hits for the Brewers, who have split their last six games.
Winner Yovani Gallardo (10-7) gave up three runs and five hits in seven innings with a walk and 11 strikeouts.
Washington's runs scored on Ryan Zimmerman's 19th homer this season, a three-run shot with two outs in the top of the fourth.
Nyjer Morgan had three of the five hits for the Nationals, who split the four-game series.
The losing pitcher was starter J.D. Martin (0-2).
