
CHICAGO, July 30 (UPI) -- Kosuke Fukudome and Ryan Theriot drove in four runs each Thursday in the Chicago Cubs' 12-3 rout of Houston.
Fukodome hit a two-run single in the second, an RBI double in the third and an RBI triple in the seventh.
Theriot hit a two-run double in the second and knocked in a run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth, and Fukudome scored on a Theriot groundout in the seventh.
Jake Fox and Milton Bradley hit back-to-back third-inning solo homers. Mike Fontenot had two hits and one RBI, while Alfonso Soriano had three hits for the Cubs, who have won seven of eight.
Winner Kevin Hart (3-1) surrendered three runs and six hits in six innings.
Houston scored its runs on Carlos Lee's second-inning solo homer and Kaz Matsui's two-run blast in the third.
Geoff Blum had two of the seven hits for the Astros, who have lost five of six.
The losing pitcher was starter Russ Ortiz (3-6).
