PHOENIX, July 30 (UPI) -- Yusmeiro Petit struck out eight over six innings Wednesday and combined with three relievers on a shutout in bringing Arizona a 4-0 win over Philadelphia.

Petit (1-5) started for the ninth time this season and finally recorded a victory by allowing four hits and walking just one.

Juan Gutierrez, Jon Rauch and Chad Qualls finished off the shutout .

Justin Upton hit a two-run homer in the first, Chris Snyder contributed a solo shot in the seventh and Upton added an RBI single in the eighth.

J.A. Happ (7-2) suffered the loss, giving up two runs on just three hits in six innings. After winning his first seven decisions of the season, Happ has lost twice in five days.
