SAN FRANCISCO, July 29 (UPI) -- Randy Winn's 10th-inning single Wednesday gave the San Francisco Giants a 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates, capping a three-game sweep.

Neither team scored through 9 1/2 innings, and the contest featured a dual between Pittsburgh's Zack Duke and San Francisco's Matt Cain.

Cain, attempting to become this season's first 13-game winner, surrendered three hits in nine innings, while Duke gave up six hits in seven.

In the bottom of the 10th, Winn's lone hit in five at-bats scored Eugenio Velez from second base with two outs.

Velez had two of the eight hits for the Giants, who have won four of six.

The winner was San Francisco closer Brian Wilson (3-4).

Garrett Jones, Brandon Moss and Jason Jaramillo had one hit apiece for the Pirates, who have lost five in a row.

The losing pitcher was Pittsburgh closer Matt Capps (2-6).
