MLB: Toronto 5, Tampa Bay 1

TORONTO, July 26 (UPI) -- Brett Cecil and two relievers combined on a five-hitter Sunday, leading Toronto to a 5-1 victory against Tampa Bay.

Cecil (4-1) threw 99 pitches with three walks and seven strikeouts before Brandon League struck out three of the four batters he faced in the top of the eighth and Jason Frasor pitched a 1-2-3 ninth.

One of two hits for Toronto's Scott Rolen was a three-run fourth-inning homer.

Marco Scutaro drove in a run.

One scored on a double ground out by Vernon Wells in the sixth, while Lyle Overbay and Adam Lind added two hits apiece for the Blue Jays, who won twice in the three-game series.

Tampa Bay scored on Carl Crawford's sixth-inning homer.

Evan Longoria had two of the five hits for the Rays, who have lost three of four.

Losing pitcher Jeff Niemann (9-5) yielded five runs and nine hits in 6 2/3 innings with a walk and six strikeouts.
