MLB: New York Yankees 7, Oakland 5

NEW YORK, July 26 (UPI) -- Robinson Cano and Derek Jeter combined for five RBI for the New York Yankees Sunday in 7-5 win over the Oakland Athletics.

Cano hit a three-run double and Jeter singled in two runs.

Mark Teixeira and Hideki Matsui each added an RBI for New York, which has won nine of its last 10 games.

Reliever Phil Coke (2-3) pitched one inning and gave up a two-run homer to Mark Ellis but still emerged with the win.

Ellis had three RBI and Kurt Suzuki and Scott Hairston each drove in a run for the Athletics.

Losing pitcher Dallas Braden (7-9) allowed seven runs and 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
