
CHICAGO, July 26 (UPI) -- Rich Harden gave up a run and just one hit in six innings Sunday, leading the Chicago Cubs to a 5-2 win over Cincinnati, capping a three-game sweep.
Harden (7-6) threw 90 pitches with no walks and eight strikeouts.
After Joey Votto's two-out solo homer in the top of the first, he retired the last 19 batters he faced.
In his last three starts (20 innings), Harden has surrendered just two earned runs.
Kevin Gregg recorded his 21st save.
Kosuke Fukudome had two RBI, Koyie Hill and Alfonso Soriano had two hits and one RBI apiece, Jake Fox had one RBI, while Ryan Theriot and Aramis Ramirez also had two hits for the Cubs, who have won eight of 10 since the All-Star break.
Brandon Phillips added one RBI for the Reds, who had only four hits and have lost six in a row.
The losing pitcher was Micah Owings (6-11).
